I had a problem with my small shop compressor a while ago, so I stripped it down and used the tank and gauge as an intermediate catch tank for the ShoeBox air supply....

I put the oil/water filter I was using on the inlet, and it's fed by a 25' coil hose from my larger shop compressor.... If it gets any water in it, I can drain it with the draincock underneath.... I mounted a gauge on it, and a quick connect leading to a silica gel dessicant water trap.... That has another quick connect leading to the ShoeBox inlet.... The silical gel filter is a bit awkward to service, and it really needs to come off to come apart.... so that seemed the best way.... The tank and ShoeBox are mounted on a piece of plywood so it's all in one neat unit....
