Would it be best to use a 4500psi shoebox and stop it at 3000psi rather than use a 3000psi shoebox to fill a scuba80cf 3000psi due the fact that i always want to be sure to always have 3000psi not 2800psi because im a field owner and the shoebox will be the lung and heart of my business

Ps,ill had a water filter, scuba type or compressor type

The ShoeBox is a great device.... but I question it for the use you are suggesting.... Since it takes a couple of hours for the ShoeBox to fill a 68ci tank from 1000 psi back to 3000.... the compressor would have to run that long for each tank you fill....

If you fill just 4 tanks during an 8 hour day, the compressor would be running virtually full time.... and if you fill two tanks in a row from your 3000 psi SCUBA tank, the second one will not quite get a full fill.... Don't forget, a 68 ci 3000 psi tank actually holds 3000/14.5x68/1728 = 8.1 CF of air.... A single fill will drop your 80CF SCUBA tank 200-300 psi depending on how full the 68 ci tank was to start with....

I agree with Rsterne here, the ShoeBox will not put out enough air to run a paintball field.

Yes that is theoretically possible. You will have to figure on rebuilding the unit about once a week.

We only recommend 3k units if your filling 3k tanks. Do not use moly grease, only lithium.

The 3000 psi and 4500 psi compressors have the same fill rate.... and it would be safer to use the 3000 psi unit in case you forget to shut it off.... You should be able to adjust the fill pressure to 3000 psi without too much trouble....
