View Full Version : getting to 4500psi ..moving the on/off

Hello Tom and All,

I had to move that spring and adjustment collar all the way to the right. I mean all the way, to the point where the spring would hit the cover(if it was on).

Tom what do you think about me moving the on/off switch instead..elongating its mounting holes, like the ones the motor mounts. It would be real easy to move it right or left.

Good Idea or Bad?

How many hours do you have on it? What is it pumping up too? It is never a good idea to move parts. If needed I can send you a stronger spring or you can bend that one a bit. It depends on how high its pumping.
Also check to see if there is any play in the bearings on the connecting rod (#53 exploded view)

Had about week #248 it has about 10hrs on it.
This was the 1st time I did a 4500 guppy tank.
Part 53 looks fine no play in it. Everything does work fine.
No need to worry about the spring I can adjust it..bend it.. ect..

I like it, it sure beats driving 20miles to the scuba shop!
